Thar Htoo
My name is Thar Htoo, a former student of New Blood School. I came to Thailand in 2005 and studied my education at the school from grade 5 to grade 10. I was originally from Ka Taik Kyi village, Mon State, Myanmar. The reason why I came to New Blood was because of my aunty, who was working as a teacher and my family sent me to stay with her to study at the school while my parents were working at Pho Phra district, Tak, Thailand. Year by year, I was continuously studying at New Blood until 2009 when I had a chance to go to study at Minmahaw School. I then got a chance to study at Minmahaw Post-Ten program in 2010-2011 and after the academic year, I came back to New Blood, to work as a teacher.
Later on, in the 2012-2013 academic year, I was able to enter in Minmahaw Higher Education Program (MHEP) and completed the GED exam. Unfortunately, I did not get the scholarship right after his GED program, so I came back to New Blood again and served another year as a volunteer teacher in 2013-2014. Fortunately, in 2014, I has successfully received the scholarship from Child’s Dream Foundation and able to start my university education at Asia-Pacific International University in Saraburi, Thailand. I graduated in May 2018 and currently working as a vice-principal at Minmahaw School.
