Htet Lin Aung

My name is Saw Htet Lin Aung, and I am 18 years. I was born on 5-1-2001. I have three siblings among us I am second son. We live separately now because of financial problem. This event delay our happiness. Therefore, my father decided to work in Thailand as a migrant worker for regular income for our family survival. At that time, I was a Grade-10 student, my parents could not support me that made them unhappy. Studying in Grade-10 cost a lot inside Myanmar. Even though they could not earn enough money for my study, they tried to find another way for my education. My father did not have a stable situation in his work because he was new.

Finally, my parents got a contact with New Blood School which mainly focus on migrant children and their education. Thus, in 2006, I moved to Mae Sot, Thailand to continue my education. I studied Grade-10 at there. I had faced many challenges in Grade-10 such as language barrier and different culture. I was grown up at my mother village where mostly speak in Karen only so I did not use to speak Burmese a lot in my village. That was a great difficulty for me in Grade-10. In fresher year, 2017 of matriculation exam, I failed. However, I did not give up easily on it and I tried hard in second year, in 2018 then I passed with 277 scores out of 600. Now, I am attending at Hpa-an University.
