Saw Gone Mar

My name is Saw Gone Mar. I am from Khyaw Phyar village in Hlaing Bwe township. I was studying Grade 6 in Myanmar middle school called Win Sein close to my village. After grade 6, I left my village and moved to Thailand for my further studying in Mae La Camp. I was studying there for four years until I finished grade 8. Fortunately, I had met one aunty from Mae Sot, I took as my opportunity so I asked her to find a school for me to be able to study in Mae Sot. She gave me New Blood School Principal’s phone and I contacted him to make an appointment to come and meet him.

Luckily, he accepted me to attend school there. I was studying there for one year as pre-post ten to train us to be able to attend Minmahaw Post-Ten. Within a year, I had learned more than four years that I studied in Mae La Camp. I can definitely say that New Blood School is a school that which is giving me a hope to see beyond my ability. It opens a bright door for me to stand where I am today. It was not only my effort but also the encouragement a school gave me to see further. He loved us so much in order to be able to attend Minmahaw School’s summer course and he became our driver to send us to Minmahaw school for two months daily. After two months, I took academic entrance exam and I was accepted to study there for one year in 2013.

I had finished General Education Development (GED) in 2015. I am currently studying in Asia Pacific International University (APIU). I am majoring an Educational Psychology. It is my last year.
